Jesse Dell has worked as a contemporary dance artist for nearly a decade, performing across Canada and the USA while creating over ten original choreographic works, with a particular interest in transdisciplinary creation.
In addition to appearing in The Paula Citron Award-winning solo See Through Me by Samara L. Thomson, Jesse has had the privilege of performing work by Kate Franklin, Danny Grossman, Susan Lee, Shannon Litzenberger, Matjash Mrojzewski, Andrea Nann, Tracey Norman, Meagan O’Shea, Julia Sasso, and Holly Small, as well as for Larchaud Dance Project, The Scandelles (Operation Snatch), Kaha:wi Dance Theatre, and JDdance, a collective she co-founded in 2009. As a choreographer, Jesse has created work for the Art Gallery of Ontario, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, CBC, Dance Ontario, Dans Kamera Istanbul, fFIDA and the SummerWorks Performance Festival.
Jesse has served as a Guest Judge for Queer Idol Toronto, as an independent creator/producer for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche and the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, and as a costume designer for ProArteDanza and Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre.
